Statement of protest against the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army
Literature and art exist for humans to freely express their emotions and thoughts. Peaceful and free human and intellectual exchange is indispensable for the development of language, thought and culture. But now, in Ukraine, people's thoughts and feelings are frozen in fear and sadness, and the situation of violence, division and oppression is worsening.
We condemn the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army and feel the suffering and sadness of the victims. We are deeply concerned about the situation in Ukraine and urge the Russian government to withdraw its troops immediately.
We call for a dignified peace to Ukraine! We express our solidarity with all people against the war, those who live in Ukraine, Russia and all over the world, and demand that the rights and freedoms of all these people will be protected. We strongly protest against any kind of violence and oppression.
